I'm totally happy I did it. The cold start is still loud-ish, but MUCH more reasonable (and doesn't sound quite as crappy). Haven't noticed any effect on normal driving.
Set mine from 15 to 4 this morning, and sounds much less obnoxious. Will try setting to 0 next to compare

Installed a new driver side bumper bracket. First time doing any kind of DIY and pulling the bumper was easier that I thought. It would've gone A LOT quicker if the body shop that fixed it the last time didn't strip some clips, forget about 6 of them, put the wrong clips in 2 holes, and forget 3 bolts. Having a lift and an extra set of hands would've helped putting it back on and getting some of those clips in underneath the car.

Either way, it was a good learning experience and I'm definitely more confident to do my own work now if I can. I'm so tired of people fucking up my car.

Ordered one of those ugly Dashmats in black suede to stop my dash from melting and lifting up around the center vents.

Attempted to fix some rattles that started developing after winter.

Sandwiched a piece of foam on top of the HU and center A/C vent. No more rattling or any noise coming from that area now.

I had foam insulation shoved between the dash and windshield that stopped the dash rattle last year. Rattle came back so I shoved more foam but that didn't work so I ripped all of it out and the rattling stopped..for now. Weird.

Why is it so hard to have a rattle free car.

Installed whiteline steering rack bushings and upper camber bolts and got the front end aligned with me sitting in the car.

-1.2 degree and 0 toe in the front.

Can't wait to get the UCA bushings done and the rear dialed in.

The car is just alive, the front grips strongly the rear is much easier to rotate and the car feels twitchy.

I don't have any video, and now I'm thinking it would help... I was off the pace more than expected, and I couldn't figure out where I lost time. Other than everywhere.

Maybe a bit more setup will make that much difference but I dunno... Still waiting for parts, so factory alignment and 225 PSS...

Was a good experience regardless, definitely learned more about the car. And had a bit of fun too. Will be really interesting to see how the last event of the season compares.

Yeah, it's a ton of fun. Video is great to compare to your competitors to figure out what they're doing differently.

On Friday, dropped off BRZ to Evasive Motorsports for 30k service. Evasive was very nice and patient with me.
When I came to pick up my car, I was confused why they were giving me a skateboard. Then I found out Dai Yoshihara stopped by and noticed my D-12C wheels. He signed a skateboard for me thanking my support.

Checked my wheels for curb rash after my mom took my BRZ to eat breakfast yesterday morning. As I expected, fresh curb rash again.
