Hello guys, I took the plunge today and will be getting an asphalt fr-s June 1st. The car is already at the port and it's just waiting to be delivered on that date. Sat in a black one that was in the showroom floor sold to a first 86er. Feel kinda bad cause they took off the car cover for me to check it out and sit in it before the actual owner.

Whats up everyone! I've probably have been checking this site 2-3 times daily for about 5 months for updates and other various reasons (mods, etc). Lucky me, my step-father works for Toyota Corporate in Torrance, CA and is putting me in a company lease! So I ordered a 2013 Scion FR-S Asphalt AT (I picked AT because the traffic in southern california sucks!! and a MT would just frustrate me commuting as far as I do). It should be here in about 2-3 months :\ Anyways, felt it was time to finally join this army haha.

Just wanted to say hi. Names feldy. Been here for a while don't post to often. Saturday I went out and did some paper work and put some money down to make sure I have a 86 by the end of the month.
Trading in my 09 trd release series tc. Did the car show scene with it the first year... it was nice made some friends but was bored out of my mind. Been auto crossing it ever since. The tc finally got a good class to be in and before I could go to Lincoln nat's I decided to trade it in for the FRS. Picking up a asphalt At. I know at at... but time after time I see people missing shifts at important times like Turnarounds at Autocross and the wife pushed me to get a AT. So that's what I did. I have no plans on drifting it just some good old cone dodging fun. I posted some vids of my autocross adventures in my car from this season in the auto x section. |

Hello Everybody! New to the the site, love the car, I think it will go perfectly in my collection. I will make sure it gets a parking spot right next to my 85 GTS Corolla. Now what will come first, tax return or actual availability?

Hey there, Chad Sexington here and I must say, Thank Lord Xenu for this thread because the wait is making me hit all time lows on my e-meter.
I am currently awaiting my asphalt AT. Yes, asphalt, because when I wanted red, my wife told me that I would be better off with a large tattoo on my forehead that read "Midlife Crisis". At 40, This will be the first car I will actually be proud to own, I had a Hyunai Pony (no really) a Hyundai Excel (Why?) a Lada (Don't ask, I had a communist phase), three Honda Civics, a Jeep Liberty (Again, don't ask, it was after 9/11...), an Echo (The Liberty made me eschew all things gas-guzling) and I am currently driving the babe-magnet, a 2008 gray Corolla with crank windows that I must get rid of because the bitches keep hoping-on at red lights, such is the raw animal power of the 2008 grey Corolla (It is too much a finely tuned machine for me to tame). |

Hi all,
my name is Chris, posting from Cologne/Germany. I am looking into the GT 86 as a replacement for my current company car, estimated purchase/lease date will be in May 2013. The interior of the GT 86 reminds me a lot of my ancient Corolla which I drove back in the 90s... ![]() This here forum is my prime source of info, the positive attitude of most posters makes this place a charm to read. Thanks to all contributors!
