My optician is not happy with me walking out of there with a fresh, cheap optometric prescription once a year. All of their profit are in the glasses.
But... but...but how do they line the lenses up? Oh unless you don't have progressive yet in which case just maybe.
I for one will always have my glasses done by physical being as it is not something I trust the internet to do right. Not driving to Montreal for them though Azn.

I don't have progressive. I've got 4 numbers for each eye: Sphere, Cylinder, Axis and Prism.
And yes, it's a gamble. I've tossed a few pairs. But when they get it right, it comes down to a wider choice of rims and top notch lenses.
It's getting hard to get glass lenses, though. I don't like the plastic lenses.
Also, there's discounts and cheap stuff to play with. I got a pair of circular, John Lennon style, blue tinted prescription sunglasses for next to nothing.
Friends and family have taken turns gently discouraging me from wearing them in public, so I love them. The sunglasses, that is.

Need to randomize again!

If "Trix are for kids" and the rabbit isn't allowed to have them then why do they look like multi coloured rabbit poop?

I just got me a real nice new axe at the local hillbilly tradeshow.
It's crazy sharp and nicely balanced in a one-handed grip.
Can't wait to try this baby out in the wild!

You should try and chop a tree in one swing. Say, 12inch diameter?

@Sarlacc
You have prisms in your prescription and you buy them online? That's more than just a gamble, mate. You're playing with your eyesight, here.

It's hard for the patients to tell if the glasses are done right or not. More often than not, you're creating a visual problem that's asymptomatic & will slowly reveal itself over the course of several years.

But hey - not my eyes. lol

To me you guys might as well be speaking Algonquin! Hopefully my 20/15 eyes hold out so that I don't have to learn what progressive prism specsavers are.

...That was one of my better complisults, but fortunately you won't be able to read it.

I can tell if my glasses are right or not. And, the opticians love to measure lenses and see if they match the prescription, so when in doubt I can have them checked. So I'm not worried.

Splitting hares or splitting hairs??? Because that is an important distinction.
