Modellista Tail Light Covers

..... Well, replicas in this case.

Arrived this morning, as the car's not clean they haven't been properly fitted however I thought I'd see how they look:

Not obtrusive from the rear....

color match or paint them black? The faux carbon is a bit much.
Are brz's sold in the uk? In the US, that wing comes on the brz only.

As I've already got carbon bits on the rear I'll probably leave them. I do see where you're coming from though.

BRZs are very rare here, even the GT86 isn't that common. The spoiler was standard fit in all cars, even on the TRD sold here. They've only recently started selling the equivalent of the FRS as a basic spec cheaper option called the Primo.

What about wrapping them in carbon vinyl? They can have a better look and carbon style texture too.
Yeah I've seen Primo on basic hondas and the mid model was called the verno, and i think top clio. Sounds Italian I guess.
Brz's are rare here compared to FRS's. I would say at 9:1. I see 3-10 frs's a day and maybe 2-3 brz's in a month at most.

I agree, however they aren't particularly strong so I don't know how well they will hold up to having vinyl stretched over them and I won't be able to wrap them on the car. I guess I could skin them in CF though.

There is one small fin on the cover which same as OEM tail light.
It will not be easy to wrap or last for a long time.

I got my Modellista tail light covers painted in D4S (Raven, CBS) black, and I like them a lot. I was just a little disappointed, and surprised how strong the adhesive worked right away. I barely had more than a second or two to try to make fine adjustments after I removed the backing on the tape.

As a result I'm a bit annoyed by the small gap where the top lines up with the border of the trunk, as I initially got them to try to hide some pollen that got stuck in the border of my tail lights after my car was parked next to a flowering tree last Spring, but it looks like you have about the same gap on yours, so that might just be how they fit.

This was my thought. Most wraps only guarantee 3 years on a horizontal surface, even 3M 1080, so you risk having to replace the whole unit after that as you'd never be able to re-wrap it. @Ammunition gave me an idea and I may buy some paint to spray them 61K to match the car.

How much better they look when in a real colour.... The lacquer went on this morning so will wait until the weekend to polish them up and get rid of the orange peel effect.

What angles do you want? I'll do that when I have them properly fitted.
