Hypothetically if there was a fly hovering inside a bus. The fly did no motion on it's own, it is in a perpetual hover in one location relative to the ground.

If the bus started to move forward. Would the fly...

A: Still stay in that one spot relative to the ground outside and slam into the back of the bus.

or

B: While hovering in 1 spot and not altering its direction on its own, move WITH the bus as the bus moves forward.

Think about it.

Is it an African or European fly? This is all a question of weight ratios.

Physics 101: Draw a free body diagram.

The fly is exerting a force on the air around it, it will stay in place relative to the air currents. If the bus is sealed to the outside (rainy day?) it will stay in one place. If wind flows through the bus the fly will be buffeted by the wind. The motion of the bus is next to irrelevant, i.e. bus sits still with windows open, hurricane rips through town, fly is ripped out of the bus.

Also, the egg came first from a chicken-like organism that laid eggs for several millions of years before there ever was a chicken.

but what about the extreme gravitation pull from ALL that power. ALL of it.

Not sure if this is relevant.

This question may sound simple but there's a lot going on.

A proper answer will required proper understanding of how those damn flies maneuver around. Lol

I'd love to see them Mythbuster guys going at it haha!

As in do bugs like to commit vehicular suicide and/or only like to admire cars like ours from a close distance while you're travelling at 70+ MPH, then yes.

I have to drive on a highway through about 5 miles of swamp. Evenings and early morning it is just like hitting a very squishy wall.

Every one of my weekend drives ends with a half hour of cleaning the windshield and front bumper. Sometimes the results are grisly.

So it was the Chicken-like organism that came first! ...or the egg? ...or the fly? no, the mosquito!

It's not a question of where he grips it, It's a simple matter of weight ratios. A five-ounce bird could not hold a one pound coconut
