Borla UEL or OFH?
I'm looking at getting a header in the next couple days and have been doing research for the last while now. What I want is other opinions on what to get. I'm really wanting to have the deep boxer rumble and as little rasp as possible. Right now my exhaust is stock other then a pipping at 2 1/4 and removed muffler and replaced the resonator with a small magnaflow can(unsure of exact size).

If money isn't an issue I'd.go with ofh. I personally have the borla because I.got a great deal but otherwise would have went ofh. With that said I have no issues with my borla. No rasp and nice rumble, your exhaust will make a difference also though

What are the reasons why you'd go with OFH?

why not get the tomei, much better quality than borla and still sold at a reasonable price.

I am leaning toward the ofh because I do have the oft and the price is nice. I'm just having a hard time telling if I like the sound or not from videos cause it doesn't sound as deep as borla.

I hate to be that guy but, the "deep" rumble isn't from the header. It's from the header back, more specifically the mid pipe and axle back.

I have the OFT/OFH and I love it, I wasn't sure what to go with myself with a header and tune because it's something I'm not familiar with all that much, Youtube videos only do so much, plus I have an Invidia N1 cat-back so I couldn't know what it would sound like.
After installing and plugging in the tune, the result is amazing, the sound is sex especially on cold starting. If you accelerate fast enough it sounds almost like a race car in the good way, wide open and loud. I wanted it loud but not annoyingly loud. Plus I like how the headers look, I can't stand that ribbing look with the Borlas and you can't wrap it or coat it, I wrapped my OFH. -RyanG |
