I can relate... I once hit a log on a trail going about 30MPH on a Polaris Scrambler. Went over the bars and landed on my left shoulder and cracked a collar bone. Road 5 miles back to the trail head, then waited about 6 hours while the folks I was with finished their ride for the day (no reason to ruin their day) plus didn't know at the time I'd broken anything and even if broken not really anything they can do for it. At that point, I had had a persistent cough for about 3 months. After the event I sneezed once, almost passed out from the pain and my body said "well, we don't need to do that again" and I never sneezed again. That was an experience I do not care to repeat. I've broken other bones (left arm once, right arm twice) but I would gladly break my arms again 3 times to never have a collarbone break again.
