Maybe we should try a crowd funding effort to see if we could raise the money for an attempt?
Oh from reading here I understand that if you just switch to E85 you will have more than enough power to do the run by the shorter route. Not sure if it is available on Tatooine though.

Good point, probably worth an attempt, although I'd be concerned for the crickets in the hostile environment of space.

Oh I think they would be just fine.

I'm more concerned about how the 86 handles in the jump to lightspeed.
It can be a little shaky, even in a heavily modified Corellian YT-1300 light freighter.

Well everybody knows you would have to have a MY since the AT launches like crap!

Agreed, definitely do not want the AT if you have to make the jump. If you could make a rolling start, it would be OK. That would require impulse engines, but now we are changing canons and that just wouldn't do.

Random thought of the day...was watching an episode of "Wheeler Dealers" last night and they ordered a set of custom spoke wheels for a Lincoln Suicide Door model they were building....

Uggh, now I all I can think about is how great a set of Triple Cross Knock Offs with black chrome spokes would look on the car. Maybe even with paint matched rims...something like below. These things probably weigh a ton though.

So over on a different thread Tcoat shared this little gem.

Why are we charging cannons when we're about to make the jump to light speed? They're no good to us in hyperspace. Chewie! get back there and see what those droids are up to!

No whitewalls. Lots of classic sports coupes came with spoke wheels and no whitewalls. I'm thinking more like this only black (the paint matched wheels are a bit much on second thought)

Hah! You're correct, I'm fuckin AWESOME!... I just thought it was hilarious that I had never actually made that connection. Who knows, maybe I'm high-born like Gendry!
