Mine is at 7600 and my understanding is that with stock internals it's risky to go higher. Oil pressure drops enough with stock 7400 redline. I'm using 5w30 oil during warmer months. Experts will chime in. |

1. Did you ask Moto-East about this and inquire for his recommendation? 2. What are you trying to accomplish? What are your application goals? This is very important in defining the scope of your project and your willingness to fork money out to make things work reliably. 3. Is your engine built? |

The question is, how much power are you really gaining by revving higher and risking more? I wouldn't go higher than 7400-7600 rpm on stock internals, especially boosted.

2. The end result im looking for is a balance of power/performance and reliability, but skewed towards power/perf more. The car will be a weekend fun/spirited driving car and building towards track use as the build progresses. 3. Stock internals. Unless @*LongFella forgot to mention any other work he had done. |

That's what I figured would be safe on a stock block. Figured I'd ask beforehand. I was on the road today and typed out a quick post from the rest stop, hadn't had a chance to sit down and do hard research on the subject.

Not sure how the C30 responds to spinning the blower harder past 7400. Getting a tuner to respond on here like Mike could answer it in a heartbeat. I personally wouldn't do it because we're probably talking a small amount of horsepower, but the dyno would tell the story easy. I believe Mike will play it safe and keep you at 7400 possibly topping out at 7600. It's a pretty valid question to ask especially while running a supercharger. |

Why risk a higher rev limit? Be safe. Unless, you plan to build the engine.
