The real issue with the video is that the guys at the dealership are playing with someones stuff without asking. Not that the car is broken or irrevocably compromised.
I didn't hear anything from you that I hadn't heard elsewhere at some other point in time.

Do you make it a point to be rude or are you just immature?

I had a WRX in the past but I bought it used.
You said frequently during irst few hundreds miles. Then said when service interval is up. you realize that means 3000 miles ish right? How is that wisdom. Manual of frs recommends 3750 miles for severe driving conditions, complimentary oil change from dealer is 5000 miles which they said I can come early at 4001 miles which is what I plan on doing. If you can enlighten me how I should do it an extra time at 1000 miles after break in I'm all ear.

There are huge threads debating breakin methods and oil change intervals. They range from somewhat sensical to virtual paranoia against the manufacturers.

Bottom line...You cannot hurt your car badly following manufacturer suggestions. Most manuals I've seen of my own cars suggest to vary the speeds and rpms and not to rev the car higher than certain rpms or exceed certain speeds during break in period. Out of my personal experience that means don't break in your car driving long highway trips, don't drag race with 5miles on the odo, etc. A Month of average local driving should break in the car just fine.

Oil changes I usually follow manufacturer suggestions unless I feel I am abusing the oil. Such as drag racing, autox and other events. I will do oil changes at 3k even if 5 or 10k is suggested if I've raced at a few events. If you are that worried during break-in change the filter. Probably more useful than changing out the oil.

Don't act like you graciously imparted some profound knowledge upon my being (when you didn't inform me of anything), and then maybe I will play nice...

This.

If it's not a customer car now, it eventually may become one.

Keep ignoring the relevant facts set forth in my responses concerning the subjects at hand.

Regardless, you were the first to insult me (remember the crying accusation? ) that is the definition of hypocrisy...but who cares, it's the internet. If you can't handle it, don't bother responding.
