Gazoo/Tommi Makinen Racing did an AWD EJ207 swap last year and was using a standard Subaru gearbox and front axles. Not sure how forward they had to place components to make it all work.
+1 on just buying a Celica GT4 instead. |

Spartarus,
By all means keep up with your continuous stream of wildly speculative material; this kind of inquiry is good. Cheers, Budo |

If Bad Obsession Motorsport can put an ST205 powertrain in a Mk.1 Mini, then you can fit it in an FRS.

Are you subliminally encouraging the destruction of an all trac!?

Me neither. Our UPS shipping weight of a 3S long block is 450lbs. Granted, that's shipping weight, so it includes the pallet as well. Definitely does not include the transmission.

Having had to lift the damn thing up, I know the E153 transmission alone from the MR2 is like 120+ lbs, let alone the E154F with the transfer case. That's a beefy transmission.

Yeah I've installed a gt4 engine and trans and an fa20, there is NO way that the 3s is lighter. It's a cast iron block and that trans is a tank compared to ours.

I stand corrected. Our UPS shipping weight for a 3S long block is 390lbs. Plus 40 lbs for the pallet, so 430lbs is what we declare to UPS for one. Close to the 450 I thought. Still doesn't include trans.
