I guess I should just do an LS7 swap then. If only I had that kind of $.

Overpipe/Downpipe: Nameless performance 2.5" with high flow cat and helmholz resonator
Midpipe: Stock
Axleback: Nameless performance offset 2.5" with 5" mufflers

All the axlebacks I'm seeing that are on the quieter side aren't quite 2.5" (i.e. Invidia Q300). I'm supercharged and would like to have 2.5" all the way back. I have someone that I can get a resonated 2.5" Works midpipe from but still need a 2.5" axleback, or just a mid+axleback solution, but 2.5".

Anyone have ideas? I'd prefer something the opposite of rice if possible. If no 2.5" quiet axlebacks exist I guess I'll have a decision to make.

Ive got a similar setup but a invidia resonated front pipe, and had the greddy sp elite rear section, very quiet under low throttle but wot it would sound nice after 5000 and only after 5000, up to there it sounded as you say, "ricey" even with the UEL, typical sound from a chambered muffler like that had alot of rasp, the fraaappppppppp sound that sounds like exhaust pulse blowing on thin sheet metal, now i have the Borla catback, it sound like a beast, some ppl thing on idle its a v8 because it has such a deep tone and WOT is very loud , it does have the nicest deepest less rice sound ive heard around here similar to the EJ sti s with a 3in , deep boxer and just loud and aggressive wot, what sucks is the muffler is under the car and its LOW , like a good 2-3in lower than the stock i would say and in a parking walking up to the car from far you notice it, i know its there so i notice it right away sticking out but normal ppl wont i dont think, still the sound makes up for it. little drone not too much.

What he said. The Perrin & the Invidia Q300 are 2 of the quietest exhausts available. If they are both too loud, you are better off keeping your stock midpipe & axleback, and just run an aftermarket header & front pipe.

I have a perrin resonated catback with JDL UEL and it is pretty quiet. While cruising I can barely hear it and if I put music on then it isn't even noticeable almost. While accelerating it is a bit louder but nothing overbearing. It is loud while WOT but I can still talk to people while accelerating WOT without raising my voice!

Tldr: buy the perrin.

I have a revworks header, nameless do/op with cat and resonator and a q300. Thought I wanted quiet but it was even a bit too quiet. Decent sound but you could still hear the engine and header rattle over the exhaust.

I removed the q300 resonator and put in a straight pipe. It's just slightly too loud at low speed now. Now I'm working on putting a smaller vibrant resonator in place to split the difference.

But the q300 won't be too loud with your setup if that's what you want.

I've got the same setup as he, except stock mufflers. Hopefully the Q300 arrives today and I can get it put in today.

I can get video if you'd like.

Hemholz resonators, man. They do a good job of killing rasp and drone. Hemholz in the fp and a good reasonator in the midpipe. With proper muffler, all you should get is pure Subbie UEL rumble.

Do you know whether a too good resonator will not only kill rasp and drone, but also kill rumble?

Rumble is not negated with a resonator. Rumble is killed with mufflers (sort of... they'll decrease rumble volume, but not the rumble itself). The hemholz resonator is specifically tuned to eliminate certain harmonics in the exhaust tone that we call rasp.

The Q300 will give you nice rumble but without obscene volume. That's what I have on my car and I love it.
