Hard start ?? - Page 4 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

i just had another hard start in the cold, it was around -2C. Now that I do remember i did change my oil to 5w-20. Maybe because of the extra weight in the cold is preventing this?

I should switch to 0w-20 as soon as i can to see if this is the issue...

I had the car for 2.5 years now and it probably did the hard start 7-8 times.

The only relation I could find it it never did it in the cold (sub zero).

It's more embarrassing than worrying about being stranded. I remember a few friends and I were walking home after shift, they were complimenting on how sexy and sleek my ride was. I jumped in all proud of my new ride, then I try to start it and FAIL. Lol the look on my face.
