It's wave optics & quantum physics.
I don't remember why I took this course. My brain isn't wired to do physics. Sigh.

This sounds like my ending physics course, which is the ending of magnetism, the beginning of light waves and sound waves.

Its unfortunately sad that I believe that. My math teacher was old, so he never liked calculators unless he was checking his work. That's what he taught us to use our calculators for anyway. Technically my line of work would require CAD for the design of the parts, but hey, a pencil and some graph paper, a ruler, and a protractor and a compass and I should be right as rain; it would just take a tad bit longer. I am slightly a perfectionist.

Your line of work would then be in design, not engineering. Technically, engineering is applying physics to validate/guide the design of a solution.

That being said, a lucky few are the engineers that get to engineer solutions. It's ok. There's always the paperwork.

My physics prof knew and had collaborated with Dr. Feynman. We used to go back and forth like crazy after class. Near the end of the 3rd semester, he started suggesting I would be welcome in his department. I finally told him, starting 10 years after HS, I just couldn't afford to spend the time required for a PhD.

Truth is, I think I made the right decision based on the limits of my ability to express higher levels of abstraction mathematically. Either that or I"m just a pu55y.
