interesting thing from my testdrive, aside from a quick technical inspection i never bothered to look down at the instrument cluster... i just had so much fun driving the car, and when you're surrounded by other vehicles there isn't really a need to watch your speed because you're moving with traffic.

also ask any autocrosses what their speed/rpms are during any given corner... no one ever really knows, you just don't pay attention.

well yeah i agree.....but its still aa gadget and cool! you would figure they would want to show off as much as possible starting off and let people disable it if they choose not to want to see it...

No, I have an AT, so it displays by default. I was just providing the information in the owner's manual for others that were asking.
