Pffff. Bumping that in your car will fix your window if anything.

If you want to shatter it. You skip to 1:05

So I had it repaired. Total cost was $500 + tax (well $0 to me thanks to insurance). The glass place said they had more than usual lately so maybe it's weather related.

Sorry to lie to everyone, yes me and my buddies were playing a little too much gtav and decided to pull a heist IRL... only damage was some broken rear glass so I'd say successful

Should have thrown some of these on and drove around for a couple of days before getting the window fixed! See how long you last before getting pulled over at gun point.

It could have been the pressure of shutting the door so quickly. I believe the whole point of the windows retracting and going up is to prevent that quick build up of pressure in the car.

a localized gravitational abberation led to Non-linear catastrophic structural exasperation of the amorphous structure.

a.k.a. "It Blowed up"

I once kicked a tempered glass tabletop and it didnt break (right away).
But it started emitting a very high pitched squeal for about 10 seconds then exploded. Cool but messy & expensive...

Could be possible, but I'm not one to slam the door (but who knows). Windows are working fine at the time of the incident

Nah the pressure of closing the door is virtually nil. The windows go down so you are not slamming them against the stripping. If there was enough pressure to be a concern we would all have popped eardrums from cars that didn't open the windows.

Are there pressure vents in this car? if so, could they possibly be blocked?

No. The volume of air being moved is not enough to create a pressure wave large enough to be an issue.

I don't get these two statements, are they related? Why did he get you started being gentle with the doors on a camry... if they're made better?
