$77 a month for a limited brz, clean driving record, 25 years old and living in Massachusetts with full coverage.

That right there shows how significant geographical location is, though I live in a small, safe town with a population of 3500 people.

I had my insurance drop $20 a month just by moving a block away one time. Started out on the "bad" side of the street and ended up on the "good" side. I could almost see my old house from the new one!

Great review and write up. I had a FR-S and loved it. So much so, that I am selling my Corvette to buy another one. I am probably going to try a BRZ this time around because I want the heated seats and dual zone A/C. They are a little short on power, but that's been beat a thousand times over. It is truly like having a go kart in your garage. Fantastic cars!

what? you tried haggling gas prices with the attendants and also "complained and bitched and moaned" about it??? since when did gas stations become swap meets?

Good post, but if you are paying 3k to do a clutch job...
You could buy a new manual trans on plenty of cars for that.
($350 for OEM clutch, 600-700$ labor)

What the heck??!!! One block? My street is known for dumb high school kids driving their civics into stopped cars and theft... damn, maybe that's why...

Guess all it takes is one turd on your street to raise insurances up?

Have progressive. Mercury charges $5 less but never dealt with them and friends who have, hate them. Can't wait to be 26 this year for a price drop!

Our city has a very distinctive line through it! There is even a song about it.

That asterisk!!!
It's $26,490 with destination charge.
Also, Scion charges $395 for Halo color. (Since OP got Whiteout.)
So, if you get Halo, the price difference is only $425.
I don't think the price was this close when they came out in 2012.
I think it was more like $1500 difference between FR-S, BRZ premium, and BRZ Limited. Something like $25k, $26.5k, and $28k.
If the price was this close back then, I would have bought BRZ instead.
No wonder 50 FR-S are available in my state when only 2 BRZ are.

Yes, when the twins were first debuted, the price gap was wider. Reminding what I have said before, most people received their limited packages for "free" with good haggling.
