Get a little thing of touch up clear coat from the auto parts store. Resin wise you'd want a clear uv stable gelcoat.

"New" Car with Scratches

Then compound, Polish, glaze, seal, and wax. That sounds excessive, but it has the deepest shine of anything I've ever seen, and it will fill and hide small scratches.
Hey guys! I just acquired a FRS with low miles. Previous owner must've ran the shit out of it. It's got the TRD workings on it. Quite a few scratches. I'll have to take pics later. I did not even think to look for them when I was buying it. Quite a few are on the inside drivers side door.
I'm a car newb. Anywho, I'd like to completely rehaul my FRS so it's brand new looking and functioning.

Any ideas about this paint kit?

I'm completely new to anything cars, so talking about sanding, and using epoxy, and getting factory matching paint. I have no idea about where one acquires all that, and what type of base paint to buy, and where to buy it, and how to get it to match the factor Hot Lava. Thanks guys I appreciate it.

Feel free to PM me, or call me. Might be quicker to explain
I"m in the ATLANTA area in case you guys are

OP: that sucks.
Really sorry to hear that.
I think a lot of us have this worry when we park in busy lots.
Sometimes people just suck.

Do not any of these, you will definitely regret it. Some people are good at this kind of thing but most really have no clue what is really involved. It takes a lot of patience, plenty of elbow grease and lots of skills. Skilled tradespeople make it look so easy but that's because they have been doing it for a long time. Your best bet is to take it to a few good body shops and get some written estimates.
Good luck to you

Just bring it to the shop and get it sanded and put a new clear coat over it

I believe an small amount you can find at home depot or auto zone, check around which one is cheaper, if the clear coat touch up is cheaper coat for that, if the resin is cheaper then go with that instead. In the end they'll end up being same outcome. Remember when applying onto the scratch, just applied enough where it briefly covers the crevice (levels outed surface), the more you add and starts to become a small mountain, the harder its going to sand to get it leveled out.

Thanks guys. So you say "shop".
Are you suggesting I take it to the Scion dealer directly?

What kind of shop should I look for? I'm in the ATLANTA area.
I don't know where to begin, and what type of shop to look for. And once I do find some, how do I know who to go with?

Thanks sparky!

As for shop, an auto body shop with a pretty good reputation. Go around looking for auto body shops, ask for quotes on how much it would be to leave it brand new with your choice of color. Check which one you'll be comfortable and convenient with the price and bam your good.

Also forgot to mention, taking it to a scion dealership shop can be very expensive, compared to a independent body shop, yet you'll have a dealership warranty. Depends on you choice.

dealer warranty doesn't mean shit when it comes to aftermarket. Go to a reputable independant and call it a day

Koa thanks!
Question is, how do I know who reputable independants are?
In the mean time, I'll start by googling detailing shops around the ATLANTA area.
I trust the opinions of the members on here, more than I would necessarily the reviews on Google, Yelp, etc.
