They might have found a way to put a kit together for me, and I may or may not have purchased it today.

Thought I would post my update about Emissions. As expected I did not pass emissions (even though I had a good feeling I would LOL). Basically its not that the car is blowing smoke or anything its about the sensors being ready. I will be posting up instructions (Per Toan) on how to pass emissions in states that check Via OBD2.

I had a high flow CAT installed and passed. Not sure if they actually checked emissions though.

Haha Maryland Actually hooks up OB2 and scans all the sensors for values etc.

finally got everything for this kit in the mail. just waiting till the beginning of may to install everything. inspection first, then install.

also, about to buy a laptop to do all the ecutek stuff. i havn't used a laptop in years since i put a ton of money into my gaming pc.

anyone have any insight on how the remote tuning works. i bought the fueling package from them. just want to get this car moving safe before the install(vacation) ends

Well the fueling package just comes with the EcuTek license, fuel injectors and base map (I think). I am pretty sure the cable and eTune service are separate, but do confirm. You'll need the cable to load any map, including the base. Remote tuning works just fine, it just happens at a slower rate than a dyno tune. You'll need an AFR gauge and preferably set it up to feed the signal into the secondary o2 sensor so the tuner can review AFR's below 12.

I log to a Windows 8 tablet PC (x86, not ARM) which works just fine. You just need two USB ports - one for the licence and the other for the cable. I use a hub since I only have one 3.0 port.

As far as how to do it, and what you need to do, its not too complicated. PTuning's staff or tuner will walk you through the process if you do eTune with them.

I'm starting the Etuning process today with Toan. He's sent me the base map and I will be flashing the car today on the lift. I will be inside the car and logging at the same time, while my buddy will be inspecting for leaks (oil, coolant, fuel, w/e really).

Googled "how to flash with ECUtek" and got the following.

First half done made a small time lapse. 0 Issues (as expected) except for a blown out sidewall due to road debris. Also those signs for falling rock actually mean rocks fall lol. Had one come under neath the belly of the car (orange size) with 0 issues lol. Went thru about 1/2 tank of meth and got a trip average of 27mpgs (I did try to be somewhat gas conscious )
