That border fee/weight of package usually comes standard for Canadian buyers, and for wheels $200 is reasonable for it's weight..
Just use paypal like they said, you can even use a third party card through paypal to avoid being looked at as a fraud.
They are just being cautious.

The number one complaint against our store is the billing and shipping address has to be the same. I get it, my address is in cali, my ID, and everything to my permanent address, BUT where i live is in Las Vegas, I understand the pain some have when their billing and shipping are different. We also Ask for a picture ID and copy of the credit card with just the last 4 showing. Some get upset, some refuse, most do not. Its not that we want to give any customer a hard time, or a bad experience. But we are not a big chain corp. that could take a loss on a set of wheels to give away to a customer that did a charge back for fraud claim. And believe it or not, there are tons of people that do it, Just yesterday a guy posted on the enthusiast FB page about how the UPS driver left his wheels out, there were way to many people telling him to just claim they didnt get delivered. its that mindset that screws over businesses. We try and ship items to the border as much as possible to save you guys the fees. But a vendor can only do so much before they put themselves at risk. Its obvious that you were a legit customer, But how do they know that?? For them, and most likely us, the risk out weighed the profits.

by the way, you think every "car shop" makes baller money and can just casually take random hits and losses? try opening and running your own shop. this industry is brutal and its a dog-eat-dog world now. i have friends that have been "in the industry" since the early to mid-90s and it's no joke to stay afloat and break a decent profit these days. you truly have to LOVE it (the car scene/industry) more than it loves you back.

To say something like "All businesses have risk to them this would be one vendors" is super narrow-minded and straight up SELFISH. I shouldn't even care about this stupid thread and faux-complaint, but because ive seen what "customers" like you do to businesses in this car world that i love and how it's affected some of my close friends and their livelihood, fuck yes i am offended. im offended for them. and i cant help but to say my piece to self-entitled "customers" like you. anytime i see people like you rant on about some bullshit "customer first" complaint, my first suggestion is "go open your own business and see how you handle shit. see how many strangers you trust before a few small bad apples fuck up your cash flow. no money to start your own biz? then go hang out at a shop and be close friends with one. sit with them for days and see all the good stuff AND the bad stuff they deal with." ignorance is bliss, and people like you are way too blissful these days.

So you understand my points yet you insist on writing a bad review about poor customer service?

Let's go back to my check (cheque?) analogy: let's say you can only pay with a personal check for groceries. You go to a store and they refuse to accept personal checks/cheques as a form of payment, as a matter of company policy.

Will you leave that store a bad review because you disagree with their policy? Will that be poor customer service?

Ya it's absurd that you have to prove that your an honest customer due to the amount of people attempting fraud.

What do I not understand if people didn't commit fraud you wouldn't need to doubt people attempting to purchase stuff.... That's all I said. I don't think it really matters what I say you will just disagree.

You're asking for the world to be a perfect place. Your asking for everyone to obey the laws, and not commit crimes.

Everyone here is disagreeing with you, not just me.

Didn't bother to read most of these posts.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where you go. Any business or establishment has the right to refuse you any service, or sale.

Don't make things so complicated, and maybe you won't have a problem next time?

lol turning away customers with reason is not bad customer service, what happened is just normal business practice.
Its like complaining that you didn't get approved for a credit card when you have zero credit, no home address and being unemployed - its not that they dislike you at a personal level, they just can not financially justify the risk!

Yeah, OP is an idiot after reading most of these posts. Try not looking so fraudulent and you won't have this problem?
