Car is warming up now. I will do it over my lunch break. Got my fingers crossed, though Shiv assures me that none of his tunes, should affect this.

HAHAHAHA. But I do appreciate the remedial training. However it is not needed. I found the culprit. It really was my temp being too low. Damn aftermarket thermostat. I let the car warm up for about 20 mins.

I tried it - failed
Then I drove to the gas station and back. I drove it hard, trying to get the temp up. I got the needle back to where it use to sit before I put the new thermostat in.

Next try - it worked like a charm. So apparently, I will have to get the car extra warmed up.

Everyone, thank you for your help and comments. Seriously, its always nice to have other minds looking at a problem.

I haven't driven the FRS/BRZ without ABS, as getting wheel speed sensor data is integral to our testing.

However, I doubt there would be any major issues driving without ABS.

I have a low temp thermostat, 76c I believe, and a good sized mishimoto radiator, do you guys think that is to much cooling for my car to "fully warm up"? I just drove the crap out of my brz to get her warm then tried the pedal dance with no luck. My rev will not drop under 1k for atleast 45 seconds. Not sure what else could be the problem.?.?

I will try again tomorrow after I remove the bluetooth obdII sensor reader thing. Also, my oil temp only goes over 200 in the summertime, I wonder what fully warm is?

I won't / can't rehash the whole thread, but I can report a good experience with the Pedal Dance. I was able to take advantage of some hot lap sessions yesterday on a relatively tight course with elevation changes and lots of quick, fast side-to-side transitions (NJMSP Lightning course, for those familiar). The TC systems--both in VSC Sport and then disengaged by holding the TC button--are absolutely horrible; as most of you know. Intrusive at the wrong time and completely robbing the car of effective performance to the point of danger, as some have reported.

They day started very cold and very wet (34 degrees Farenheit), so initial speeds and cornering efforts were slow and safe. Even so, the nannies came in and put the car out of shape at the wrong places. I then used the pedal dance after my second session (day warmed up and the track dried out), and this finally freed the car to operate without interruption and effectively in all of the challenging transition areas. Effective cornering and overall lap times notwithstanding, defeating the intrusive and relatively "dumb" TC programming (for track driving) was a marked safety improvement. I never engaged ABS and cannot speak to any of the ICE-mode reports, though I have experienced this quite often in Porsches on track.

So, one more data point for the effectiveness (need for) of the "Pedal Dance."

The OFT now has a button for Pedal Dance Mode on it that works very well at anytime after ignition. Will be having fun some fun with this.

I'm wondering if the MY 2015 even requires this? Can anyone else chime in about a possible change in the midlife update? Been doing autox and two HPDE most recently at Gratten and have never felt any nannies trying to intervene after just holding the button for 5 seconds. Yes the car has been driven hard enough.
