When I bought my FR-S I traded in a 1st gen xB on air ride w/ various JDM bits and some wide steelies (stancebro!), however I told them the same thing that I wanted to take everything off and put it back to stock if I were to trade it in and specifically told them to appraise the car after that. They actually let me leave with both cars (salesman drove my xB home) and gave me 2 days to take everything off, not sure why your salesman is not helping out but I hope you get this resolved.

no amount of bad mouthing or press is going to get those wheels back.

why would you not get the items you need fixed done before trading in?

what?

Probably not but it never hurts to try.
Why would I buy new tires for a car I just wanted to get rid of?
What what?

Not necessary. You take the stock rims with you. You say, "Here are the stock rims. I want my fancypants rims back." They say, "Okay," and take the car over to the service department, where they swap out the rims. Then they bring the fancypants rims back to you half an hour later, probably before you've even finished with the paperwork and the guy trying to upsell you the extended warranty.

And before you even think it, the twins are designed to be able to carry a full set of track tires inside the car with the rear seat down. You could have driven away in your new FR-S with the fancypants rims in the car with you that same day. So you have no excuse.

You said you took your stock rims back over there later. Just out of curiosity, how long did you wait from the time you picked up the FR-S to the time you delivered the stock rims for your trade? Did you take them back the same day?

Couldn't have fit the wheels with a car seat in the car
it was about a week later
Yeah I fucked up I'll know better from now on. I told the customer service rep at the dealer to either tell me to go fuck myself or give me my wheels back, that didn't work. Scion corporate said there is nothing they can do. I asked them if they ever hold anyone who sells their cars accountable for anything and they said the dealership runs its own business and there is nothing they can do.

Kind of a different story because my original BRZ was in the service department at the dealership when I traded it in getting a new engine, but it had my winter tires on it. I brought the stocks up the next day and then picked up my winter tires six months later when it was time to put them on the car. Sounds like it's just a crappy dealership. I'd have no issues badmouthing them personally if it's a verbal agreement you had.
