Having driven an FR-S, about the only things I want are a better interior (color-matched lighting, for instance) and revised exhaust note.

5x114.3 would be welcome too.

I borrowed on the car to have it on my credit history, but I've been thinking about maybe paying it off to try selling the car myself. I see some Scion dealers list Blackbook trades, so I can probably still get a decent price from some dealers. I don't see myself owning the car longterm, and 2011 Impreza prices from Kelley and NADA have dropped somewhat since the last time I looked.

I always wait a year after the car is out of production because of kinks that are usually worked out with recalls and TSB's. All the amenities that are being mentioned are nice but shouldnt deter you from not buying the car IMO. Remember the car was was aimed at a certain demographic and added luxury features like steering wheel controls cost money, so no I am not for adding dumb things that manufactures use to suck consumers dry with inflated costs. Just some food for thought.

True, I bet we would all be complaining if they had all these extra features because they increased the base price of the car and we all want a "barebones" sports car, haha

I'd hope they have no recalls at all after the whole Toyota debacle and how long theyve been developing and testing this particular car!

Oh you know it, and on top of that everyone would be pissed when they didnt come through with their target price that was being promised. If you want steering controls by a Z and pay 40 grand. That is a prime example of what you get when you get a sports car with all the amenities.

Since I haven't driven one yet, I can't speak about the driving dynamics of the car. I will put in my 2 cents on options I'd like to see though. They are two:

1. Steering wheel mounted controls for BT/radio/etc.
2. Backup camera

That's it. At least until I've lived with it for a bit and driven the thing.

It would be nice to have audio control and cruise or take calls on the steering wheel, but I can live with out it.

I'd rather just have an armrest and new taillights and a better nav./audio system in next years model. But it wouldn't be a deal breaker if none were not present for the 2014 model.

Almost agree with you. Underbody "aero" is not something you want standard though, they're just going to rip you off. Navigation is stupid in a day and age where everyone has a smartphone or standalone navigation system, and I'd venture to say that audio isn't really that necessary (although most friends would disagree, so maybe like a 4 speaker system as a compromise lol).

Basically, we need a downgrade package, like the R spec in Japan!
