Premium 94 Octane for the life of the car...

If someone even has to ask this for a stock car (already knowing it requires premium as stated in their owner's manual and gas door), they have bought the wrong car.

I think new people keep answering this question without reading the rest because its such a cupcake of a question. They come to the form for the first time, see "Gas Premium or regular," up top and say "Oh shit, I got this one." Due to such excitement to show this new to them forum their knowledge that was already in the manual, they rush to be the first to post the answer, ignoring the rest of the thread, over and over.

I wish I could find 93 octane here... I mean, apart from having a drum of it in my garage.

Don't worry, it doesn't really make any difference in performance, at least as far as I could tell.

Have it tuned or get a turbo and there would be a difference

Hey guys .... I was just trying to get a better idea about which brand of gas to use... ultra 94. Shell 91,Esso 93. Etc.... obviously the car takes premium gas. .. don't need to read the manual to know thay

For some know it all out there on the forums not everyone is a 86 junkie

I have actually wanted this car for 2 Years and now finally have it and want to make the best of it by getting as much info from everyone here.

I'm gonna stick to the 94... thx for the help...

Ya, if you ask 10 people you will get 12 different answers on which one is best. Looks like you get it that the higher the octane the better the performance. Don't worry if you have to go as low as 91 once in a while though as it doesn't hurt a thing.

Well, sure, but seeking out anything above 94 is likely to get expensive and for minimal benefit. I know that's probably what you were thinking, but I thought I'd just clarify it for you.
