i have some 17s with direzzas for sale if you are looking at 17s. they are on rpf1s. which of course makes you a basic bitch, but they are light affordable and the tires are sticky so there are a lot of good things going on there too. lemme know if interested

Just have stock wheels which will likely be for sale (unless you want to try to fit 14's or 15's on the car... and I need to sell those too!) I eventually need wheels that clear my brakes (once they're installed - few more parts to get before I start the install work) so got 17" Sparco's with winter tires. Staying 17 though - having "fun" trying to arrange for PSS on my regular summer drive wheels - looks like I get to head back out to Grayslake for that (at least repeat business at the same shop doesn't hurt!)

I knew a ton of people with Kosei K1's on their E36, they could care less they all had the same wheel due to the weight/price/quality

That being said I am rocking RPF1's

the only reason the rpf1s are off is because i replaced them with different rpf1s. within weight and affordability they are hard to beat.

What are the specs on those 15s?

Pic if you're curious. Those are original Azenis mostly dead, need to come off. Needs a bit of cleanup - had to snag that while it was hanging on the wall in our old garage while trying to pack for moving...

I'm not sure if this is where you exactly you introduce yourself, but here it is anyways. First time manual transmission user, first time new car buyer. I live in the south side Chicago area near midway airport. I'm sporting a 2015 Blue pearl, Premium BRZ. I see very few frs/brz around but i'm glad that i'm not alone here. Hopefully i can meet some of you guys and share stories, tips and even become comrades on the road. Hope to see you guys around!

Hey guys, I'm pretty incognito on here but now's a good time as ever to change that.
I'm hosting a meet for some of the local mazda guys I became friends with when I had my speed6.
We have meets about tri annually at my father's shop in Lake Zurich. I figured I'd extend the invitation to you all.

When: Saturday, April 25th @ 10am-whenever
Where: 238 Telser Rd Lake Zurich IL 60047

We have a 9,000lb lift, tools galore, and a great compressor. It's also a machine shop so if we have to make something, no problem.

There will be beer. Probably lots of beer. So stop in and say hi even if it's just for a few minutes!

I didn't realize that was where all the local noise happens. I hate FB but sometimes I guess I get to put up with it.

Yeah, FB is just a much easier place to organize meets and what not.

Most of us are around the northern suburbs, but some people are further south. We usually meet in Schaumburg because it's a fairly central location.

Some of us are cruising to Tire Rack in South Bend, IN this weekend (I'm picking up tires for autocross, and others are just tagging along). We'll be rendezvousing near the south/southwest end of the city with some people though. FB event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1425538367745590/

If you aren't on FB just PM me on here if you're interested.

Welcome! I'm also somewhat new (I hardly post lol), but live in south side by Chicago Ridge. Like the others said most of the stuff gets organized on FB.

haha yeah I've noticed and I think its easier to keep up on FB than on here since I haven't figured how tapatalk works. Hopefully there's some scheduling during Fridays for these club meets. Thank you though! Definitely gonna keep an eye out for the ridge 86 haha
