exactly what I thought, if someone can make a BT OBD2 adapter with this feature built in or make it adjustable via one of the datalogging software such as Torque app, I would buy it in a heartbeat

1) Pivot gauge reading oil temp and coolant temp 2) AIM Solo DL configured to read 4 parameters: real-time lap temp, delta vs best previous lap time, coolant temp, and oil temp The "when time matters" part is ESPECIALLY important to have AIM Solo or other real-time timing in place to help monitor lap times. I can't say how many people have the regular vs DL, but when I'm trying to push a personal best it's very useful to know which parts of the track I'm slower at in real time instead of downloading data in the pits. As mentioned already, a Y-splitter won't work. I bought one and now have a $20 paperweight in my garage. The pedal dance takes me about 10 seconds to do, 5 if I'm fast. YMMV. -alex |

Unfortunately, the incompatibility of this product with the most common forms of data logging means that this product is unlikely to be used by the people who are justified and qualified to make use of it. I fear that this product will end up being a tool of the idiot who imagines their street car to be a race car after they slam it to the ground and do other inadvisable things to its suspension and then starts stuntin and splodin it on the streets. </rant>

Very nice device and great price!
However.... countdown to reverse engineering ... 5, 4, 3...... (if I had my hands on one we would be at 0). There is a unit available in Japan for $350 that was probably rev-engineered for this one (just a guess). Once we know what OBD commands it sends/responds to, we can make a tactrix do it relatively quickly and would likely be able to continue logging. |

Or you can spend 2 seconds and do the pedal dance. Gawd...I hate moving after working out just my right leg and right arm.
