I will send the BBC my resume to take his slot. I'm possibly a bigger tit than JC, you will like.

Haven't watched in a few years, I thought I sensed a weariness from them but watching this filmed not so long ago it seems like they still genuinely enjoy doing this show:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2HoEz27TYs"]What's your favourite car from the specials? - #EveningWithTG - Top Gear - BBC - YouTube[/ame]

I would honestly love to see them take a sabbatical and reboot the show, this might be a good reality check that things can be improved. I think I'll catch up on some episodes (I'll definitely be skipping the ones that the description sounds boring to me "This week we compare three >$100k gran tourers! And a $60k SUV! And a hovercraft!")

Necessity is the mother of invention, imo Top Gear lost it's sheen as it grew less and less "A pokey little motoring show on BBC2" and they started renting jets and hiring world class athletes for grand spectacles.

The absolute high point for me was the first segment that got me hooked: the £1,500 Porsche challenge. Stuff like the rallycross racing, the relateable things to the average man seem to be missing from the new shows as they repeat tropes for easy laughs.

blah blah blah i'm a cock.

Watching Patagonia special now, I take it all back I'm wrong I just find certain segments deathly boring.

Hope they can resolve it, whatever it is, will refrain from commenting about celebrities and production environments.

BBC probably trying to figure out how to sack him in the best economical terms. Clarkson is a clown and needs to go, show has been stale for years.

It's not all about Clarkson that I don't want to see him fired, it's that the balance would be upset. May needs to be there to be curmudgeonly and numb, Hammond needs to be there to be quirky and jovial and Clarkson needs to be there to be abrasive and over the top. Take away any of them and the balance is screwed up.

I saw someone suggest a replacement and while he's not exactly Clarkson, if he channeled his old Black adder days, Atkinson could make a go of it.

This is not the first time that a star got too big for his britches.
He crucified the RC-F! Prior to that segment I thought the only possible negative the car had was the weird grill -I still would like to test drive one when the weather gets better.

Clarkson is only 54?? Holy crap, I would have guessed mid-to-late 60s. Don't smoke kiddies!

Any notions of him taking his road show elsewhere are total fantasy. You can bet he's got an ironclad no-compete clause in his contract that will keep him off the air for years if he quits or is fired.

I looked at a couple of other reviews for the RC-F before top gear did theirs they all seem to have similar views with Clarkson. Big/heavy, not incredibly fast, and sloppy handling.

Did you see the latest episode with the Toyota 86 vs. the million dollar custom roadster?

That was funny, I thought all he did was Johnny English and Mr. Bean. It's cool he's a gear head in real life too.
