For carb certified kits JR and vortech (I think) are your only options. That being said, these kits (for the one day mine worked perfect lol) really add that perfect umph to the car.

Those are the only two I know of that are CARB legal right now. Turbos are pretty much out.

But I agree with @CSG Mike, don't expect 300whp on 91 with the JRSC alone. I hope that with that kit, and my catless headers/high flow catted front pipe, I'll be running in the upper 200 range. Ideally 280whp or so with a proper exhaust setup, from what I've been gathering so far.

So iv been in debate over a turbo kit vs the jackson racing kit. I like the pro's of a supercharger for this car over a turbo but one thing is that im aiming for 325-350whp. I will be running 93 oct since there is no e85 stations near me. I have also been thinking of a meth kit also, just wanted to get some opinions if it might be a pain to reach these numbers.

Easier to get that target with a turbo. The amount of effort and thought that goes into is going to require diligence, but if you do it right, it'll be a reliable and consistent setup. The budget is something you need to be more concerned about as well.

Yea, cold weather doesn't mix with E85. Even though I live in socal, my car had trouble starting in only 50's*F mornings.

Who said storage is required if you're always going WOT...

Anyways, turbo is nice especially if it is done right with the proper methodical take on it. Slapping on a turbo without that process will cause headaches and eventually, the rage quit. For those who don't want that methodical build process, the JRSC is one of the best bolt-on out-of-the-box, if not the best, kits available on the market. There isn't a requirement to upgrade anything on the car to make it reliable. Power potential increases by 40-50%. Turbo will boost as much as 100%, but the budget required is significantly higher. Higher budget and breakdown build process with high quality parts and tuning yields high quality turbo build.

This is completely tuner dependent. I've taken my car up to Lake Tahoe, with E85 in the tank, where it got down to 35ish Deg F and the car started up just like it does in warm weather.

I've seen a certain popular tuner on here fail to get the car to start properly on e85 in warm weather.

Your power goal is more in line with a turbo kit. My recommendation is the @ptuning kit.
