The dealer doesn't build the car, the manufacturer does. If it's still under warranty, take it in.

Right, but the dealers definitely adds extras depending on the car. My old car had a ground effects kit that was oem and the dealer had to bolt them on there after delivery. |

I was just wondering if other people had the issue. This seemed like a good thread considering it was all 10 series owners. I am not going to take it in for something so trivial. I just figured I couldn't possibly be the only one. |

Well once I found the switch, works great. It may be something trivial, but its still something they should fix. Get a free car wash out if the deal or something.

Hey all, my stereo head unit took a dump today. The audio cut out completely, not even the touch screen 'button push noise', and for a short time after that I can hear a crackling noise from the stereo system. Turning the unit off, waiting, then turning it back on temporarily brings the sound back, only for it to all happen again. This happens with every playback mode. I'm taking the car in to a dealer tomorrow to have it looked at.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I have not, but I doubt that will do it. It seems more of an issue with loose connections or a bad/broken solider joint inside the head unit/amplifier.

@torqdork
Well Unfortunately #0876 is now RIP! Deer ran into the road and I braked and swerved out of the way, ended up drifting sideways into a tree. Got a minor concussion and decent whiplash but I'm alive. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ASHES TO ASHES, DUST TO DUST. I LAY YOU #0876 TO REST:

Glad you're sort of OK, hope you stick around. Would you like your badge retired or retained in the Registry? |
