Although it WOULD ruin TopGear...not quite to the American TopGear level of ruined...but ruined nonetheless. :-(

American Top Gear <ugh!> -talk about a no chemistry snore fest. I really wanted to like it especially with Jeremy's frequent snide anti American remarks (funny how he always gushes over American celebrities). Don't get me wrong, I think Jezza is a riot but he has that British/Eurotrash superiority complex. Adam Ferrara comes across as a NY caricature, Rutledge is a poor man's James May and Tanner is a weak Richard Hammond/Stig hybrid. One good thing about the US Top Gear frequently shows American muscle cars.

Don't discount The Hamster, Captain Slow, and The Stig. The orangutan needs them just as much!

Interesting thought.. He's just suspended nothing has mentioned fired but let's think about this..

HBO is launching its streaming service and it could really benefit from having a hugely popular show like Top Gear in its lineup especially considering that HBO broadcasts in the UK. HBO has the money AND Top Gear could retain its crucially important sense of ridicule without the fear of losing sponsors which it currently enjoys being on the BBC but yet by being on the BBC it can't be too offensive because the BBC is a government owned network and the show is a form of representation. With HBO, Jeremy would actually have greater freedom for irreverence.

Top Gear UK brought to you by HBO spells out all kinds of win. Someone should email HBO right now.

They know the show is nothing without him, I feel like they're just playing politics because he makes them feel stupid because they probably are just a bunch of tight asses? Worse case scenario, JC starts another motoring show and every single fan of Top Gear goes with him.

If Clarkson swung on a producer, try not to forget, the producer is also a co-worker. Most workplaces have a zero tolerance policy for matters like this, so it's likely that Clarkson had to be suspended during the investigation. It's probably not a matter of political correctness or the BBC not knowing Clarkson's value, but instead a legal matter about non-threatening work environment

I wonder if this behavior is somehow linked to his crazy driving of the RC-F in last week's segment? Not that the two incidents are related, but maybe it reflects a more fundamental problem with JC's inability to control his temper, a classic symptom of bipolar disorder. I suppose more will come out later.

This is not the first time that a star got too big for his britches.

I think behind the scenes working at Top Gear is hard and there is a lot of rules and red tape and i believe his just fed up with it because the show has gotten so popular that ever little thing he says offends someone compared to the earlier years, from season 10 and under the show wasn't as huge.

Anyways, just my opinion on this matter.
