Pretty sure the lip itself is painted blue, and the unpainted bottom piece is the universal rubber protection add-on available through Subaru.

I've got the Series Blue kit sitting on the floor of my garage and I'm wondering if I should paint it to match. I like the way it looks on the WRB. I have a DGM.

Just got my Diode Dynamics Always On Module, and low and behold, it only half works lol.

Anyone else here run into a problen with theirs where the drl strips and boomerangs dont light up when the ebrake is released with the headlights off? Both boomerangs and drl strips turn on and stay on when the headlights are on and the drl strips work when i dim them. Its like this module pretty much does the opposite of turning the boomerangs and drl strips into drl lights and disabling them completely.

Emailed diode dynamics and all they told me is that there are no lights on when the headlights are off.

i got it paint match to my WRB.
and yes the bottom piece is the subaru universal protective lip strip.

my side skirt and rear is painted half/half to keep the winged section black..

i have first hand experience with a faulty always-on unit

FIRST, without the always-on unit

your lower DRL should light up when the car is in daylight and E-brake not engaged

your lower DRL goes away and top boomerang and headlight goes on
at night time.

2nd, WITH the always-on unit

during the day, your lower and upper DRL should be on with E-brake not engaged

at NIGHT time your headlight and upper and lower DRL should be on

if not contact Diode dynamic for help..

they sent me a new unit as soon as they made them.

I would leave it… It's gonna get chipped and damaged eventually. The quality of the OEM pieces look good enough to not paint over.

yeah i agree to that statement as well.. but when the kit is painted.. OH BOY
looks fantastic.. i had my kit on my car for about a year now and i have to get it repainted soon since this car attracts rock chips like crazy haha..

Thats exactly whats going on with my module. I emailed them and all they said was that no front lights should be on when the headlights are off lol...
