Just to get this right, so we're here on the 86's forum trash talking the car? ok moving on. Why don't we just stick to context here and discuss the car.. who cares what he said or she said, stop making this personal and about "one" person's opinion. That's why you cant walk into any thread without it turning into a piss fight about who's bigger..state your point, fact or pov and move on.
@DohcTor im assuming you're coming from the dohc vtec era? Why exactly are you here and why do you have an FRS/BRZ if you feel this way about it. IMO frs is a fun car which to me is better than just a fun engine. Then again everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I don't hate or love the civic I'm just here to get info on another "sports" car but man does it seem to be impossible to do such thing now days.

I will provide you with some enlightenment. ![]() 8th Gen civic Si. K&n shortram, Cobb Access Port, FlashPro. doesn't mention anything about temp, elevation, fuel type or what the baseline was. BUT if you are correct (which you are not) then Short ram and a tune only yields ~13hp. Yeah. the k20 responds great to mods. Here's one MORE for you. 06 Civic Si w/ throttle body spacer. ![]() Fail troll is obvisouly fail.

@tahdizzle I think you have your engines mixed up. The k20 everyone is talking about is the 2 liter motors that are pretty much the best 2liter n/a motor out(for sale, relatively new, attainable), even though I don't think we get it in north america anymore. Japan has them in the 2007-2013 CTR(222hp).
The first dyno is from the k24 the second one is from the R18 aka non si motor. k24 is similar but not the same. Honda makes great n/a motors. Lets see if they make good turbo motors. Anyone know or read any news if they are officially coming to North America? I wonder if/how much they will water down the car if we get it. |

The 86 fanboy-ism in some people is too damn high.
Because the CTR has 4 doors, it makes it non-sporty. Okay there.

Go on the 8th/9th gen Civic forums to post that the Civic sucks and see how fast you get lit up.
Complaining about fanboy-ism for one specific car on a forum dedicated to that specific car won't get you anywhere lol. |

Yes. As said before you had the last good Si. I had one of the few 08 Mugen cars and it wax awesome. No ones saying the 8th gens were bad. Just that S2Ks were better and the 9th gen+ models suck.

All I know is a Type R mule has been spottend on US roads, and they're making it's Turbo engine here, possibly in the ohio plant that's building the new NSX.

And now this, another Type R with big horsepower and a new fancy suspension design to reduce torque steer but still no double a-arms. It's just one stupid decision after another. At one point of my life I think I stated (and proudly) that I would never drive anything but a Honda. Now I have a hard time being a fan of anything they do. BTW: lap time at the Ring don't mean much to me because of large sections of WOT time which, if you make a car handle half-way-decent but give it big top speed, it will do well at the Ring.

I may have read that the engine was coming here, but they don't know what car they'll put it in
