Hi fellow JRSC owners, I need your help. I already mentioned some time ago that about a month after the SC install I got P0172 fault code - System too Rich (Bank 1), and someone else confirmed they had the same. The code appeared a couple times, then for a while everything was fine. Then it started appearing again. It appears together with a noticeable change in the car's behavior - it becomes sluggish when starts moving, the RPMs on idle are not stable. Recently the engine even stalled when I was backing up from the garage. I tried to clean MAF sensor, as it seems to be one of the common reasons in such behavior. It helped, but only for several days. Then I got the same symptoms: sluggish reaction to the gas and P0172 code. This time together with P117B and P1170.

I did some logging with EcuTek (got it with JRSC kit), here is the data, and here are the graphs:
Name: Log1.png
Views: 1371
Size: 30.7 KB

The second one was taken after I cleaned MAF again:

Name: Log2.png
Views: 1346
Size: 28.4 KB

Can anyone get any clues from this - what the problem might be, and how it could be fixed?
Thanks!

I battled similar issues. Fuel trims were terrible. Car almost died a few times, sluggish behavior, etc. I spent 6 months trying to figure it out. Finally found it was the God damn maf oring. It just became stretched out and leaked.

Guys, I need some real help. I just had my sc installed over the weekend (professionally installed). Today while running some errands, the oil light came on and as soon as I parked, the engine bay started to smoke. When I opened the hood, there was fluid all over the engine and fluid leaking. Based on the oil indicator and the low oil level on the dipstick, I'm assuming the oil lines were not put on properly. I am not any kind of expert on this type of thing and this is the first time I've dealt with anything like this, so this is just my best guess. What do you guys think happened. If you need more info, I'll try and provide what info I can.

Also, the exhaust manifold was smoking but that has stopped since. I'm afraid of taking the car to any of the local oil places (jiffy lube, etc.) In case something happens again.

Did you have an oil cooler installed with the sc?

Yes the oil cooler was installed with it. I've driven the car a few times since I got it back yesterday, and this only just happened

Check the lines on the cooler, see if they popped off. Hopefully they were just not put on properly.

I don't see any lines on the cooler loose. If it adds any info, it is the right side of the engine that got fluids on it. The left side is clean. Don't know if that narrows down possibilities.

Should I turn the car on for a moment to see if more liquid comes put or will that just make it worse?

Follow the lines with your hand and feel for any loose connections or holes on all the oil lines

If you have no oil you don't want to turn it over.
