With the local courses here, we do more heavy transition course's. The Hutchison venue is good sized with lots of switch backs, slaloms. So they are pretty tight. Now at Roebling Road, lately they are a combination of both.
So I think I will leave the front bar on for the transition, go with your advice and set pretty much in the middle. Then go from there with the EVO instruction then guiding me further with the setup.
Thanks for the reply

Feel any difference on the street after that alignment?

Talking

Yes. I also put in the steering rack bushings, No NVH, that little bit of vagueness is gone, felt like it was spongy.
The car feels good, goes where I want it to go. Didn't drive far after the alignment, could tell that I got rid of that extra toe in. Easier to turn.
All I have left to do is the data logs for the tune, SS brake lines and then an automatic tray cooler.
That and learn how to drive better. LOL

Okay guys, here are my thoughts on the SRC's after an EVO school, both phases.
First for all you wanna be autocross'ers, 'TAKE THE SCHOOL'.
I truly have to say it is the single BEST investment ANYBODY can make for the car.
It teaches you, specific to autocross, all the tools you need to win. Sam Strano, Mike the boss, Patrick, and that slow rookie of the Year guy who destroys me in my own car. Just can't remember his name.
TAKE IT.!!!!!!!!!!!!
I initially had the settings at 7/7 all around. I personally found these setting very well balanced, neutral. I could initiate throttle on oversteer, come in too fast, yes understeer but it was controllable.
I am running a 20mm front bar, stock rear, Dunlop ZII Star Spec's, new ones. I have a MotoEast tune, full overripe back Perrin Exhaust, Ferrodo pads, steering rack bushings, and a SkunkWorks II CAI.
With the tune I can launch quite well. So well that I was complemented by the instructors on my launch. With new tires too.
The car does not feel like it is on 10K/12K springs. It just doesn't. In the morning runs I was keeping up with the big boys, some of our fastest runners. I either was ahead of them or 0.1 seconds down. Most of the time, during the season I would be down by 2-4 seconds. So that is a definite positive. But I still have a lot of info to process. It came down to how tired I was, (2nd shifter getting up in the morning).
Could be just the school too, but the SRC's have given me a confidence with the car I never had before. And we were all learning and improving.
I am extremely pleased with the Tein SRC coilovers. The car goes where I want it too, when I do it right of course.
I change to 5/6 in front and stayed at 7/7 rear. I found then that the car would push more, more than I liked. Now I will hit our test n tune and play with the settings.
So ya, I am a happy autocross'er. Thanks again to CSG Mike and David for all the support and advice on this purchase and just everything.

Finally got to do my first AX. In the rain, Georgia weather in the spring. My initial setup was front at 8/9 compression/rebound, rear at 7/8. Ran some good time for being so wet. I was still getting some understeer, which with the slippery condition's I was aiming for, so I dialed the front to 8/9 and the rear to 5/6. Big difference. My last run I posted my fastest run. It was good enough to get me 8th raw time and 9th pax out of 66 drivers.
I am also keeping in mind that some of the better drivers were having a bit of trouble with the wet course. So more fun times ahead.
I found that the EVO school helped immensely, taught me a lot about how I was driving like crap.
On a side note, the day before we had a test n tune. I let two other well experience drivers take my car out. An A/T. They could not believe the control i had. They loved the car. There own cars were 350Z's in Street Prepared. They one driver is now playing with the idea of buying a BRZ! Who knows.
I took one guy out as a passenger, his main comment at the end of the run was, "can I have a set of rails like your car is on"
Gives me great pleasure in knowing that I picked the correct setup and the correct shop for my purchase. Counter Space Garage. Awesome guys.
Later guys.
