My case with the same CEL was bad main motor harness connection.
Had to tighten the harness with plastic clamp/band. But unfortunately that plastic clamp gets loosen after long time idle heat. Just try to move the harness by hand and if you get some more CELs after, other than P035X (or your P035X gets disappeared), then it is definitely bad harness connection. I may suggest that that bloody harness is the weak point of toyobaru. But this is only my case and it may appear quite specific. I'd change my harness sometime. And in my case i just feel vibration at around 5K (without any CELs popping out) when the harness connection is not ideal, and the vibration disappears (and the torque increases)after i stir the harness a bit. |

I used to get P0352 all the time. Whenever I was at WOT it would throw the code. But I recently tuned my car with an OFT, and I no longer have this problem. Im not sure if it was a problem with the ecu, but the engine is running smoothly now with no issues.
I do have a 2013 model, and I have never gotten the updated ecu flash. So im guessing that this problem was derived from the stock map. edit: This got me thinking.. People are reporting coils failing within months of replacing them, but maybe its not the coils? |

Forgot to mention...
Full exhaust. P&L cat less header (ceramic coated), P&L overpipe, P&L catted front pipe, and newly installed Tomei 80 exhaust (getting ready for turbo install). I also just installed the silencer as well on the tip. (Result of excessive back pressure?) OFT Crawford BPB tune. TRD intake. 39k miles. |

Trying to figure out the cylinder layout in my head since I just got a P0353 cel (cylinder#3) yesterday after a track event. Is the layout the same as the older Subaru engines? Thanks, Aaron Last edited by Nitro22; 03-06-2015 at 02:23 PM. |

That is the correct order. Cylinder 3 is the passenger's side rear cylinder. It seems to overheat most frequently, probably due to its proximity to the header and cat. Aftermarket headers tend not to help at all, because the heat shields have been removed with the factory header. |

So wait. Is #2 driver side towards the bumper? I plan on replacing it this Monday during spring break. I really need to know. Would make sense since I had thought I replaced what was #2 but could have been #4

Yep. #1 is passenger front, #2 is driver front, #3 is passenger rear, and #4 is driver rear. I looked it up just to be sure, and found multiple references saying that. |
