Nope, unfortunately. Bungie has pushed that date back to a TBD date sometime between April and June.

Yes, it sucks they pushed it back but hopefully it will be for a good reason. I'm willing to wait if some good improvements are made and a lot of new content gets added.

must be A LOT of new content or a total vamp of how to level up. honestly this game got so old so quick, im sure that nothing new will change and it will just be new strikes a few new story missions and basically teh same style of run strikes til you cant stand the game anymore and try to pug up with a group of randoms to fail yet another raid or two. they honestly need to change the way raids are organized, they need to figure out a way to let us find groups easier without having to use a third party website or app.

Can't be a gamer and actually expect original release dates to be cast in stone. Considering the pressure developers are under to release products "on time" I am OK with delays so long as it improves quality of the end product. I think the delay was largely due to feedback from the community. I believe they're retooling some things that would have otherwise caused huge uproar. As a result, they're kind of designing on the fly as development continues.

What we think is a major change could be light years off from what the developers are even capable of with a finished product. Video game code can be insanely complicated, so a minor change to us could require weeks or months of code tweaks and testing. We all know that they programmed it and should be able to do anything, but eventually the code becomes an organic machine that can be broken extremely easily.

They admitted CE was a flop and the raid didn't receive nearly as much attention as VoG, and they've also promised that they're listening and will ensure future content will be great. So, I'm optimistic. Even if it's mediocre, I'll probably still have some fun with it, but I am certainly expecting it to be better than the majority of TDB.

You hit a core problem, its designed to be a social game but it has very few social tools to utilize. I think this is where the most improvement can be made. Nearly any game though, has a whole bunch of forums where people can meet and discuss the game, so using third party sites to meet other players is nothing new. Until Destiny has some awesome in-game social system to group like minded players of similar attitudes... Third party sites can be awesome, I've recommended the100.io to dozens of people and those that have joined and found a good group have had more fun with the game than ever before and have thanked me over and over. We regularly see new members in our group who have a whole new interest in the game because they now have a pool of people to play with. LFG sites were great initially, but they're SO inconsistent and SO full of elitist douchebags that the just the thought of using LFG sites completely turns me off from the game. Get out there and find a group and start having way more fun with the game. www.reddit.com/r/fireteams is my second recommedation, it's usually full of a bunch of good people wanting to meet more players.

In the end, if it's getting old, its because you're either genuinely ready to move on, or want the game to be something it can't be at the moment. So (this goes for anyone frequently complaining about the game) just drop it and move on or find a way to make it work. I recommend the latter because having a large group of people to run with develops new friendships within the game. My 100 group even started our own forum and are doing in-game competitions, coming up with more interesting ways to play (like a shotgun-only VoG), trying to recreate other crazy stuff that we see other players doing (like bubble-tunnel in the abyss), designing emblems, raid races, discussing all other kinds of non game stuff...

Honestly, I've gotten to the point where I don't really need to do anything in Destiny but it's still fun and I still play regularly. The only other game I've played this much is Dark Souls 2... Which was a lot.

i appreciate the level of thought and information you bring to the table haus.. your right, i do understand that third party sites are used to talk about games and what not i just wish there was a direct in game way to get a group together. i cant bring myself to do the crotas bane bounties either to level up my rank to unlock the upgrades for the husk of the pit and murmur so i never expect to fully upgrade those guns because the bounties are basically the same boring shit each day and i just cant bring myself to do it. i wish they had a wider range of bounties to do for certain ranks.

You're absolutely right, bounties have become really stale. I tend to treat them as a quick XP boost for other gear I'm leveling up, and I try to lump them together to see how many I can knock out at once. It'd be great if the bounties themselves were more interesting though.. That's another major complaint on reddit.

speaking of bounties, i havnt gotten a single exotic bounty in 4 months of grinding and another 2 months of just casual play. in the four month grind i did every bounty (vanguard/crucible) every day and turned them all in at once. i got the thorn about a month into it and havnt seen another since, do you get limited to only one exotic bounty or am i just that un lucky?

Damn! You're really unlucky. I've had so many exotic bounties I've had to abandon some. Of the ones I've accepted (across 3 characters), I've picked bad juju like 4 times, thorn twice on my warlock, invective twice, pocket infinity twice, and super good advice three times. Some have been offered and accepted multiple times on each character so it's certainly not limited.
