thanks for the feedback. If you plan to head to the track, let me know when and where. Might be interesting to compare setups once my car comes in.

Im very eagerly looking forward to your thoughts on the apexi throttle control module. The Lexus owners seem to love it, and Im hoping it will cure one of the few things I do not like about the FR-S: lazy throttle pedal. I dont know if mine is special in this regard, but up to ~15% depression of my throttle pedal results in 0% increase in engine speed - making it tough to feather the throttle properly. The pedal travel on this car is already traumatically small, so the 'dead spot' just makes it worse.

I can't wait to see your car fully decked out! Idk if you mentioned it in your earlier posts (must've missed it...) but the red stripe on the front wheel. what is that exactly? looks slick!

Red stripe? Do you mean the factory FRS front turn signal lens? LOL!

Yes, of course! I need another week or two to test the throttle controller as it's got 5 different settings and they are not so obvious until I can sample each mode in different condtions and environments. I'll be sure to post again when I can put in some real feedback on this one.

OMG dude. believe it or not, I just noticed it. I feel like such a scrub but now that I look at pictures of other FRSs, I see that they're clear? I apologize for the ignorance...

Thanks for the feedback Moto. Any idea if they offer a rebuild service and what would be the recommended time/miles when one should do so? Any details on this?

A car daily driven in LA with 5-8 track days a year will incur a ton of miles for me

(I'm having this issue with my current DG-5 set)

USA models have amber front arch signal. Japan has clear with amber bulb. Probably a legalities thing than any cosmetic preference. It's like I'm too old to really care about my lens color as much as pounding out laps and perfecting damper rates. Lol

It depends, just like if you want to buy your buddy dinner, or ask him for his share. That usually depends on how fat your wallet is, and how much you like your friend right?

If one is boasting about shows and trophies and constantly nagging persistently, and always asking a million questions and tend to not read air around him well, not many folks want to buy him beers at the bar... Same thing.

In the same analogy, if you really adore the guy, but you know he's got $12 in the bank, you don't let him buy you the ice cream, and pay your own.

But we digress: this thread is not about business tactics and personal growth.

But if I can suggest one thing, that would be to seek within you and speak to anyone, what they might wish to achieve with their business goals, rather than trying to prove how worthy you are to them without understanding their wishes.

My rule of thumb from approaching sponsorships, is that what you provide must out-value whatever you receive as donations, whole or part, and more the better if you have skills or resources that exceed their expectations. Free stuff costs more in the end than the value of the product whether it's your time or money, in the ideal world. And the sponsor should get the big end of the benefits, for thier efforts and choices they make to help your cause.
