I don't either. Sometimes it's best to consider the consequences if somehow it happens.

I'm assuming it doesn't have an LSD? This will probably be a daily driver for me in New England. Are parts/repairs expensive?

Staying in the same price range and in the 21st century:

Mazda Miata. Nope
Mazda RX-8. Nope
Ford Mustang. Nope
Chevrolet Camaro. Nope
Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Nope
BMW M3. Nope
Audi S4. Nope
Porsche Cayman. Nope
Porsche Boxster. Nope
Mini Cooper S. Nope
Subaru WRX STi. Nope
Honda S2000. Nope
Honda Civic Si. Nope
Scion FR-S. Nope
Lotus Elise. Nope

Your remaining options are the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Nissan Z, and Fiat 500 Abarth. In fairness, the Ford Focus ST and Dodge Dart are hardly American.

It does have an LSD. And since it is out of production, OEM parts can be kind of pricey. But there is an expanse of aftermarket.

Truthfully though, the car is so bulletproof that you will likely not have to replace anything for a long time. I don't think I have had a single OE failure in the 8 Supras I have owned. Aftermarket parts are a different story.

If you look on Supraforums, there are some really nice TT Supras going for cheap, and if you don't mind a Salvage repair (as long as its repaired well), then you can have one for DIRT CHEAP.

Last year, I picked up a 93 Single Turbo with a BoostLogic Auto Trans for 16k. The Motor was new and the Trans was freshly built. Chassis had 110k miles or so. The work done on the engine and chassis was immaculate though. Makes 500 or so HP and is a comfortable daily driver!

1+ Scion branding 2+ better interior on the limited BRZ. I would rebadge. I get bored much sooner with cars based on interior quality.
