I drove for at least 10 years with my mirrors improperly adjusted. One day I heard the Car Talk guys suggest for the driver's side mirror, the side of the car should barely be in view only when resting one's head against the window. I was amazed the first time I saw the whole sequence while being overtaken.
1. Overtaking car is visible in rear view.
2. Literally the front half of the car appears in the side view while most still shows in the rear.
3. Car is visible directly to my left while I can still see the back half in my side view.

Unfortunately for us tall guys the proper seating position completely prevents us from seeing things like overhead traffic signals. It's a trade-off. I can sit up straight on the track because I don't have to see anything up high. Even then, my headliner is already crunched up from wearing a helmet.

I'll get a really low bucket seat eventually. Hopefully that does the trick. Ok, no more thread-jacking here.

Ordered two replacement front and rear tow hook covers to make sure I get the fitment right, and ordered the PTuning rear tow hook camera mount.

Did the math on my yearly bonus this paycheck and it looks like I can afford the GoPro and Tascam setup. GoPro mounted to the front tow hook, Tascam mounted to the rear for audio recording.

I may get a suction cup mount for longer drives, as then I can power the GoPro for much longer when it's inside the car.

If all goes well, by next weekend I may start testing it all out. I may not get to take the setup on a long drive until April though.
