A wrecked Camaro, I've seen a few go for $6k-9k but they're more common than the twins. I'm looking at an L99 & 6L90e in an automatic Camaro sitting in a junk yard for $6500, so if I can part it out for = to a fitting transmission. $4700+6500+7500(kit)=$18,700 to have the car together. Then I'll need to find some Recaros & fit a Nexus 7 into it or something so I'll be looking at a $20k 400HP/TQ sub 2800 pound twin! Much better than buying a new one. |

that's exactly what I was looking at too...

If you can get a way for the 6l90e to fit, it may be better for high power than the manual. And like I said, the carb tune for the e-force takes it to 600 hp ~. Jaden p.s. as far as derailing his thread, how in the fuck is talking about using the vorshlag kit with a camaro and the cost DERAILING his thread?? Talk about butt hurt...

As for fitting the 6l90e, it'll fit in a 66 Mustang with some work but I have my doubts about it in a FT86. Even if the tunnel is 'massaged' Last edited by Bawlz; 03-03-2015 at 12:42 PM. |

personally I keep going back and forth...

With the ecoboost, it's already twin turbo, and with the ford GT moving to it with ~600 hp I would think that there might be some bigger DI's available in the near future for it too, although I don't want to think about what they would cost...lol. Plus I have done some preliminary measurements and I think it may very well be possible to put the entire rear end assembly of the Camaro in the twins with just a simple adapter plate, although body fab would be necessary for the 6 inches wider it would be... Even if they got the kit completed on the OP's car today, it would take some time for the parts to get fabbed in quantities for purchase. Plus I would wager once they finish the OP's car I would rather wait on his testing real world to see what else breaks next
Good example is with v8 monster miatas that were having problems with bracing cracking welds for the power being put down. They had to fab different suspension parts to handle the increased power.Maybe end of the year we might hear something.

I've seen Taurus SHO's making 500+ HP using meth & some forged upgrades just in case & the SHO's Ecoboost is smaller than the F150's. If you really want a twin turbo you can use the LFX Twin Turbo v6 which would fit similar to an LS3, but finding a CTS-V would be near impossible & a crate motor would be very expensive. |

Wow it is pretty concerning with the kit taking this long. Does anyone know the actual time that has been spent on making this kit?

If you are actually interested and ready to buy with actual money, you would've got in touch with them by now?

@inertia check out Vorshlags blog on this build. They moved to a new location and have had to send the headers back to the manufacturer multiple times just so they can get it perfected for production. They mentioned numerous times that if they weren't making production pieces out of this, it would have been done months ago. But they want it done right and as easily as possible so someone like you or I can do this swap on our own.
It's also nice knowing that they are trying to keep the OEM CANBUS functionality, unlike the WGP car which didn't have a functioning gauge cluster and who knows what else. Sent from my XT1095

I'm also looking at an AWD sequential transaxle to use with the ecoboost if I go that route. Lots of fab but if it's doable, it will be SOO worth it. imagine 500+hp AWD at about 2800lbs??? Jaden |
