If it is preordered and you have a deposit down they are supposed to treat it as a sold car, meaning no one gets to do anything other than gawk. YMMV however, especially given unscrupulous dealer practices.

It blows my mind how they still build cars in one part of the world and then ship them across the globe in the year 2012.

It blows my mind that SOA is so incredibly useless,

I can't believe they don't assign an end user to these pre-ordered cars until they are rolling off the ship like some sort of stupid card matching game.

god forbid you make what has been ordered...then make cars for stock...

it's like Mcdonalds making 200 big macs at a time when people are standing at the counter asking for McDoubles....

I just hope my car gets here before my pre-approved loan expires, only got 88 days left

Maybe they discount risks associated with shipping and damages.

Well look at it this way SoA is still way better then SNE from the sounds of it. No VONs and little other information.

What blows your mind about that? They will build it where it will be cheaper to build and sell, obviously considering also the quality they want.

You can be sure it is more expensive to make them here in USA where they would not need to be shipped.

My birthday is tomorrow so if the Altair Leader brings my BRZ and I get a VIN by Monday it will be the best birthday present since my parents bought me a sweet metallic like green Pacific 2000SX mountain bike lol

Haha thanks. I haven't had that bike since I was 12. It was just one of those awesome gifts you get as a kid that I was comparing the BRZ to. It was stolen right out of my shed one day when I was in high school lol. Gotta love NY.
