Draco it makes sense that our cars are on the same train. May 29 eta for me too. I gave SOA my VIN for them to track and she e-mailed me back 2 days ago that our cars are "being shipped via rail" How many days till it gets here? IDK but at least we know it's on its way

I don't think it takes two weeks for a train to get from WA to OH, even with a few stops on the way. I think we're going to see our cars before the 29th.

OMG I talked to a lady at SOA today who had completely contradictory info to what is actually happening.

she said that if they didn't have VIN info yet it was because my car hadn't been built yet...(obviously wrong as they are being assigned to VON's at the port)

She also stated the earliest i could expect a special order was 14 weeks after the placed order (if that is true no one gets cars for 4 weeks...peeps already have cars.)

One more tidbit was she said that the preorder opening date was earlier or later depending on what region you are in...(as far as i could tell, all "regions" except maybe NE all had the same preorder date)

Sounds like you talked to the same woman who was confused when someone said people had VINs already. She needs to be educated.

Strange. My eta is the 29th as well and i am in chicago. I thought about how since chicago was a huge rail hub that i will probably get my car sooner than later. I guess we will wait and see. mine has to get there sooner than the 29th, especially if u live away from chicago and ur eta is the same as mine.

I posted in the CA/TX thread, but I got a call from my dealer and my arrival date on my order has been updated to, "month of June". Still no VIN though.

Got a call from Subaru rep about an hour ago. He said that my BRZ is at the railhead. He didn't know whether it meant Chicago, but I'm hoping it does.
