I recently installed the OFH catless header and yes there is a smell but it's not obvious and not a big deal. I think you would have to be pretty close up to the car and outside to smell it.

I have an OFH and no other exhaust mods currently. I smelled the catless smell on the first, second, third startup. Not sure if I've just gotten used to it, or the system has somehow broken in, but I don't ever smell it anymore. It's been about a month.

^^ I agree with you. I can really only smell it now when I start the car in the garage and walk around the car. I can't recall when I last smelled it in an open environment.

i moved to ca fully knowing how strict smog laws are. CA is seriously the land of fruits & nuts.

In the WA where I lived before moving back to CA, in the county, there are NO smog laws. NO FED laws apply. I checked with DOL.

Why did I move? Oh yea, bc i missed CA too much.

Oh yea, my registration in WA cost me $68.

But then...court.
Any law enforcement can cite you for what they think is removal of emissions equipment.

BAR inspection is free + court fee. Or you can pay a fine and go about your polluting ways.

There's no point in going to court to argue, because the court will just ask you to go to an inspections agency like BAR (in California) to get the violation checked out.

I also don't think it would be hard for any law enforcement agent to distinguish aftermarket from OEM with everyone cheering for Logos branded and stickers on their sh*t :p

If I was ambitious enough, Id grind down that speed factory stuff on my headers :p

Tsudo UEL header

Here's sound clips I made:

Stock header, stock over/front/mid pipes, Top Speed Pro 1 axleback.

What a difference. Sounds great. I'm guessing the header is uncatted?

Thanks for picking our cats. We're really proud of them and super glad they're working out for you!

That's not entirely true. We work really closely with CARB to make sure that all of our parts are 50-state emissions legal. That's a big part of why all of our products are designed, tested, and assembled in Southern California. Also, we have to wait 4 years to produce a stock replacement car for a vehicle in order to comply with CARB, so, for a car that debuted this year we'd have to way until 2019 before we could start making cats for it.
