I installed an ebay hood strut kit I got for $69.95
its very nice

I'm going to uninstall it later and remove the "left/Right/Hood/Fender" labels. I'm not sure if I want to paint it STi JDM Pink... or if I'll paint it black

I just had a sound system installed. I've owned my BRZ for 2 months now, and the stock audio has been my only real gripe. I installed Morel Virtus 603's in front, a JL Audio StealthBox in the trunk, an Audison Bit Ten DSP, and a Massive Audio NX3 amp (I know it's the weak point in my setup but I got it on the cheap). I also, had the doors deadened. It's a stealth build, so it all looks stock , hence I didn't include any pics. You can see what the JL Audio StealthBox looks like on their website. I'm happy with the results so far, but I'll need to bring her in for a final tune when the speakers get broken in.

I'm running the stock head unit for now, but I intend to upgrade it next year. The Parrot RNB6 is looking pretty promising. Also, I had 2x 10" subs in my last car, and this 1x 10' setup is slightly disappointing. I could see myself putting in a send 10".

Damn that sounds nice. I want a header so bad haha. I'm sure this has been asked but wouldn't subaru/toyota be upset with changing that part of the system warranty wise? And you have to do a little management to get that CEL to go away right?

I'm sure they would. There's also no way it'll pass emissions here so I'll have to throw the stock header in. I wouldn't do a header without a tune or you'll be fighting against the CEL and missing out on a lot of extra power.

you both realize that replacing the fuel pump won't make the crickets go away right?

only thing that works is e0 gas.

also the chirp has no detriment to the functionality of the pump.

Installed a universal trunk net. Looks alright, kind of awkwardly long for our little trunks but it does the job and I can easily remove it if I need to. Nice to not have that stuff sliding around in the trunk free

I tried to do this a while back with a net from my old car but couldn't find a spot where it would hook on to. Where did you attach it in the trunk? It's definitely nice to store stuff back there and have it not slide around!

I just mounted it to the trunk carpeting kind of about as high as I could go, pretty close to the sides of the car as to stretch the netting as much as I could. This kit is really simple, just has a couple basically sheet metal screws with a threaded tab and then a little plastic piece over the top where you can mount the net loops to. The stuff in the net isn't heavy enough to pull the walls down so I think it'll be ok for now!

This is the guy
