I don't even have it installed right now (it's 4 degrees out!) but I'll play with it again in the spring. Thanks!

I noticed their recommended gps to be very sensitive to placement. I think the internal receiver is weaker than most modern BT gps units I used in the past.

Once I was able to mount the gps on the exterior roof, I got much clearer signal and no data drift.

Like a true dumbass I never actually considered where I had the GPS receiver. It was always tossed in the center console or glove compartment. Looks like I have something better to try next time.

you def want it as out in the open and centered as possible, esp if you're relying on gps-drived parameters. (a gps device mounted on the right side will give you different readings when turning same-radii turns going left or right, if ever so slightly different

Yeah. I have an incredibly one-tracked mind. If I'm thinking about driving that's pretty much all I'm thinking about. I do a lot of scrambling at the last minute to get my helmet on and seat positioned.

I got tired of using blue tape every event to mount it to my roof and found this:

http://www.shapeways.com/product/SXW...FRSDfgodTJEAmg

It works great! You need to get your own suction cups, though. Found them on amazon.

Well, it's usually in the center console which shouldn't be terrible. And at the moment the GPS issues are the least of my worries. We'll see how it goes at the first event this year.

Quick feeler for the Blytheville Pro - anyone interested in sharing their CS car with me? I kind of want to go, but don't want to make the drive with my car (yet another oil leak has developed).

Cam chain cover leak both times. Hoping the engine doesn't have to come out this time, but it seems inevitable due to the design.
