so i spent the better part of an hour on the LFG section of destinys tracker website, then i spent the next two hours failing raids with shitty groups who didnt know how to listen or what to do. anybody got a better way to go about finding groups to raid with? i just want a team to raid with the same people each time and know that they all know what to do..

Pick up Groups are 90% fail most of the time.

Last night I was trying to finish a hard mode aetheon that these guys couldn't do. I quickly figured out why.

Destiny players are horrible players (generally speaking). I would say the vast majority of them are FPS players who don't know anything more than ADS and press the button.

this is exactly true. where are the classic oldskoolers who understand game mechanics and strategy.. how about where the fk are the 18+ players...ended up with kids in the last attempt that sounded 12 and kept falling off the side of the map like wtf.. i have the worst LFG karma

I've had decent luck with PUGs on normal mode raids, forget hard mode though.

Some people have been using a site called www.the100.io (down right now?) and claim to have had great success. I tried it but never actually landed in a raid, I find it hard to know 2-3 days in advance that I'm going to be online at 8pm and have 2 hours available to do a raid.

I was thinking we should all try to join the same group on that site (ps4 and xbone separately), would make raiding with folks around here easier.

I think the100.io is getting swamped with traffic from a reddit thread right now. The100 has been a game changer for me, I always have a pool of great people.

I was also like wtf is .io? Apparently it's a British Indian Ocean Territory site, used for a lot of tech/startup type sites. It's no different than a .com or .net, etc.

If you try it, you really need to participate to make the group work. If you get dropped into a deadbeat group and you see no events scheduled, then you can try to get the members riled up and get some things going, but you can also search for other groups and see if there's one that better suits you.

It doesn't work quite like a LFG site, which is all about the last minute need a group/person RIGHT NOW type games. the100 is more about events planned in advance so its easier for people to plan, but if your group has an really active chat then you can get some immediacy from it. Our group chat is hyperactive, so we rarely have problems finding last minute subs for no-shows. The cool thing is that you get to know people in your group, so they're not so random after a while.

Fang wrecks knights. holy christ in an arc NF they don't even melt, they just cease to exist.

edit- derp, I was thinking of song of ir yut. Fang is arc as well, correct?
