I had a Challenger take off like a bat out of, along with a few others, not sure why. But the most memorable was the S-10 that dropped it's hind end and threw sparks everywhere. What's up with that?

Id much rather drive a Geo Metro and know a thing or two about cars and how to drive one, than be one of these kids with a turquoise wrapped lambo-fancypantsy.

These kids are subject to insane social pressures to keep up with the latest trends and to get their parents to buy them the latest and most expensive shit coming to the stores/dealerships, just so they can mingle with their group of friends. Their circle of "friends" only care about the financial capacity of each others parents.

They can not relax, appreciate the simple things in life (like our cars, or a hard-earned paycheck), and enjoy the company of people who care about them and not their (parents') money. This is why I am grateful I am not one of them.

I wonder what we'd be like then if we had the money they have. Lol I honestly don't think I'd be under that pressure my time would be spent at a race track with all of you guys lol

Only one person(05-09 mustang GT) has really tried to race me but i've noticed a lot of people speed up to me or keep pace with me when i drive fast and pass them, and even do a bit of ricer fly-by on me. Most memorable encounters:
-new Chrysler 200
-modified first gen lexus IS...rev'd at him at a stop light and when it turned green i pulled off slow but he tried to launch and stalled
-Lifted F350...made the mistake of not downshifting into 4th so he got me by a little bit

I found a really great back road and to have some fun on. 50 mph speed limit and it has some really tight turns near the end of it.

I usually cruise on roads like these, but then a Chevy Equinox speeds up behind decides it's up to the task of tailing me down the road. It kept up well right up until we come to those hairy turns, I downshift two gears and only needed to kiss the brakes going through them. The BRZ made it with utter ease and the tires were well within their happy point at that speed. After the series, I checked behind me and the SUV was left way behind having to brake hard before the corner and it stayed far back after that.

I love moments like those, the slow car suddenly finds it's perfect balance in the switchbacks being able to leave behind cars and drivers who think that they have the ability to handle the corner speeds that the BRZ / FR-S can.

I routinely take this "keep moving" corner that comes off the interstate at speeds that would really throw off most cars. I had this lowered Integra try to match my entry speed and when I exited the corner -- he literally disappeared from my rear view mirror, that I thought he wrecked.

Eventually I saw his lights appear again, but far off in the distance.

Pulled out at a light and a Mustang tailed me while I was cruising. Proceeded to pass me and slow down at a light with me. Just jamming to some songs with my girl and the guy launches. I didn't realize he was going to be one of those guys. He had about 1/2 of a car length ahead before I reacted. I responded and pulled on him and I ended up with the very same lead he had. He looked confused by the end of it.

Not nearly as confused as most of us would look unless you are heavily modded!

I missed that completely! OK my confusion is alleviated!
Poor 'Stang dude wouldn't know what the hell happened.

And the both only accelerated to the speed limit and were not street racing right!
