Just ordered a short shifter, redstuff brake pads and brake pad sensors. The tires are good and grippy. Autocross starts the 1st so I'll see how it handles then and go from there!

It's actually a really cool site though, $18 is getting me a new mirror glass (missing on the car)!

I'm also looking at rogue tuning's MAF kit. Multiple dyno proven 15 whp 20 wtq gains and better throttle response and power curve. It's 500 though so I'm researching more. |

$500! Seems steep if you ask me. As far as performance mods I'm not upgrading any of the stock components, I'm going to finish the rest of the car then LS swap. I just need to make the motor mounts and get a C5 bell housing and I'll be good to go.

Yeah, it does. It's a great option if the afm ever fails though since it's just a little more than a rebuilt afm.
Shouldn't the transaxle work? I thought I'd heard of people using the stock transaxle with an LS. I could be wrong though as this is the first time I've really dug deep into 944 stuff |

Yes, the stock transaxle will work just fine as far as I know. I'm going to have to dig deeper and research a bit further, but by what I've heard it's actually a pretty easy swap! Question, does your car have an LSD or open diff? I've read that they had the LSD as an option, mine doesn't have it though.

I'm not sure honestly. I'll have to take the carpet up in the back and check the tag back there. It has sport seats so maybe it was a package? Probably not though, or the guy would have mentioned it.
Nissan is saying the next g37 (q60?) will have a Mercedes 3.0TT and the g and z have always had the same powerplant and chassis. So everyone on the Z forums is expecting to have the same engine. |
