Haven't installed them yet. Still winter in Fargo, so car is put away in the garage.

Oooo, I have to think back a bit on that one.

I don't remember having to do any other custom mounting other than the melting the tweeter to the plastic housing. I MAY had had to put the mid in there a little sideways? geeze... i'd have to look again to be honest.

I WILL Say - the best thing I did though was take the extra time and work to run the crossovers into the trunk. I've messed with the settings a few times since install, and it's really nice not to have to crack open the door panels or roll around under the dash to work with them.

I don't have any great pictures of the trunk after I did that, but it's pretty straight forward.

Reason I ask, is because I've been reading around and notice that some people are putting the tweeter in a DIY pillar housing. Dont get me wrong, looks pretty badass, but that would be completely irreversible. Id most likely take the JL's out of the car when I decide to sell it.

Either way, you had to make speaker mounts for all speakers correct?

Did you just run longer speaker cables from the crossovers? That does sound like a much better idea. hows that new headunit?

I just build the front door speaker mounts. I left the rear speakers stock and hooked them up to the amp as well.

I ran much longer cables all around, correct.

Love the headunit. I had tried a lower pioneer model but the interface was PAINFULLY slow.

Haha. It was such an eye opener to slide into the BRZ and then go back to the RSX - the seats in there felt like bench seats in comparison to the BRZ.

But the high school kid in me sure misses Vtec.

Thanks for checking it out. I can't wait to take it out of the winter hibernation and get my smaller pulley / pro tune in April.

Just ordered my 17x9 rpf1 with 255/40 ZII star specs. Should be interesting to see if it fits.

Car looks really good!

What offset are the RPF1s? 17x9 et35 with 255 should fit without any issues as long as you have coilovers(which you do).

the 17x9 rpf1's are 45mm offset. After checking the fitment guide on here, it looks as if I might have 'predicted issues'. If i do, it seems a 3mm spacer in the front will fix that, as 42mm offset fits just fine.
