I haven't checked mine since I re-torqued them after about a week. If you are having an issue I am sure there is a high temp thread lock that is available at the auto parts store. maybe even just some copper gasket on the threads would do. I saw your other posts about this and was thinking about checking mine now that it has been about 6 months, but it's such a pain to get it off the ground and pull the tray just to check the torque. Good luck with it.

Some of the bolts and nuts are one time use according to the factory service manual. I'm not sure if that applies to the header nuts but if you are hearing an exhaust leak its most likely your gasket that has failed and not your nuts.

Hey Everyone,
Thank you to those of you that has placed the order for the OFH. We really appreciated. For those that has already received the ofh and is running it on your car we hope you are enjoying it and continue to enjoy it. Those of you that are waiting for this batch of headers to arrive we want to apologize for the delay. Started last weekend, West Coast port closure/strike due to labor dispute has cause a delay in us fulfilling your orders. We haven't forgotten about you and we will certainly fulfill your order as soon as they show up at our office. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us at sales@openflashperformance.com or PM directly and I will get back to you.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Cheers

In the great state of NJ we have emissions check. I am new to modifying anything in my car. I am looking forward to having these headers put on but! Will I have to change the headers back to stock when it is time for me to get the emissions check done? Will the tune also have a roll in passing/failing this test? I will be using oft with the ofh. Has anyone come across this same dilemma ?

If your inspection process includes a visual inspection you will fail.

All I've experienced was the worker check the gas cap and put a device into the muffler pipe. That's all.

We don't have emissions here, so I have no practical experience, but from what I have read the secondary cat should be enough. In some locations they just plug a reader into your OBD port to see if you have any emissions based codes. Your OFT stage 2 tune should be set to ignore the code that would pop when running a non catted header, so you should get no code.

^ This. I have straight 3" Turbo-back exhaust in my WRX, and in Washington they just do the smog smeller and plug a reader into the OBD port.

My tune turns off the associated DTCs/CELs

Has passed w/ flying colours for the past 6 years

it can vary from municipality to municipality, even testing facility to testing facility.. sorry so vague. Should ask some mates with non-catted rides around your area to be sure
